At the Bucyrus Kiwanis Club, "We Build." We build character, community and camaraderie.

  • Every hour we give and every dollar we raise goes toward building a better Bucyrus, especially for our kids.

    We believe every child deserves a safe place to play, opportunities to grow, and a community that has their back. That’s why we show up. Whether we’re flipping chicken, ringing bells, planting trees, or handing out scholarships, everything we do comes back to one goal: making life brighter for the next generation.

    Because when kids thrive, our whole community does too.

    • We raise money—and roll up our sleeves—for kids and community.

      • Built (and paid off early!) the Bucyrus Splash Pad so families can play for free

      • Host our annual Chicken BBQ and Meat & Freezer Raffle to fund youth programs and scholarships

      • Donate to causes that support local kids—from classroom needs to community fun

      • Maintain Kiwanis Grove and Picking Park—safe, welcoming spaces for all ages

      • Ring the bell (and win the battle) for the Salvation Army to help families in need

      • Fundraised with a toilet... because helping kids is worth a little embarrassment

      • Present the Copper Kettle each year to the Bucyrus vs. Wynford winner—cheering on local students
